Frequently asked questions.
What Global Real Estate Intelligence is, where the research comes from, how we stay neutral, and how your data is handled. Still have a question? Get in touch.
What is Global Real Estate Intelligence?
GREI is an independent, neutral index of the research the commercial real estate industry publishes. The major firms, brokerages, lenders, and data houses each put out excellent research, but it lives scattered across dozens of separate websites. We bring it into one place, organised by sector, market, and date, so you can find what you need without searching firm by firm.
Who is it for?
Anyone who needs to stay on top of commercial real estate research: investors, brokers, lenders, developers, asset managers, analysts, and advisers. If you currently keep a folder of bookmarks and check a dozen firms’ sites to keep up, GREI is built for you.
Isn't this just research I can already get for free?
Yes, and that’s exactly the problem we solve. The research is free, excellent, and buried across well over a hundred different websites, each showing you only its own house view. You don’t have a research shortage; you have a fifty-open-tabs problem.
GREI doesn’t sell the research; we always link you to the original on the publisher’s own site. What we give you is the layer on top: one neutral place to find and compare what the whole industry is publishing, so you stop hunting and start finding.
How is this different from a single firm's research page, or from Google?
A brokerage’s research page shows you only its own work and its own read of the market. GREI is neutral and cross-publisher: one search spans every firm we index, with no single house view. And unlike a general web search, GREI is built for the real question: filter by market, sector, and date, and get the relevant research ranked across publishers rather than whoever ranked highest on search that week.
Where does the research come from?
We aggregate from publicly available sources: the research that firms, lenders, and data houses publish openly on their own sites. Every item in the index credits the firm that produced it and links directly to the original page or PDF.
Do you host or republish the research?
For third-party research, no: GREI summarises and links to the original. Each research item sends you to the originating firm’s own page to read it, and all rights in the underlying research remain with the firm that produced it. (Public-record and market data is different — that we compile and host, with its source cited.) See Sourcing & attribution for the full detail.
How do you stay neutral?
GREI is independent and has no brokerage business, no listings, and no deals to win. We index every publisher on the same footing and rank by relevance and recency, not by who published. The neutrality is the point: it’s the view nobody is trying to sell you.
I publish research. Can I be added, corrected, or removed?
Yes. If you’d like a source added, a detail corrected, or your research removed, see our note for publishers or contact us and we’ll take care of it.
What about company financials and public data?
Some information on GREI (company financials, filings, and market statistics) comes from public and regulatory sources such as the SEC’s EDGAR system, Canada’s SEDAR+, and government agencies. That is public-record information, which we collect, standardise, and present with its source cited. It is distinct from the third-party research above, which we only ever summarise and link to. Always rely on the primary source for anything that matters.
Do I need an account?
You’ll create a free account with your email to use the library and your feed. It lets us tailor your feed to the sectors and markets you care about and remember what you save.
Is it free? What does Pro cost?
The Research Library, your tailored feed, and the Weekly Intelligence Brief are free, forever. Pro unlocks the premium data products — the listed-real-estate Terminal, Funds, the Media vertical, and Earnings — for $11.99/month, or $99 a year (two months free).
The first 100 members can lock in a founding rate of $8.99/month for life. See pricing for the full comparison. The core promise — a neutral place to find the industry’s research — stays free at the heart of the product.
Is there an app? Can I put it on my phone?
There’s nothing to download — GREI installs straight from the browser. Open greintelligence.com and add it to your home screen, and it opens full-screen like a native app, with its own icon.
On iPhone or iPad: tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android: open the browser menu and tap Add to Home screen.
Can I search by market, sector, and date?
Yes. The Research Library lets you filter by market, sector, and recency, and surfaces the most recent research first. Conversational search, asking a question in plain English, is on the way.
How current is it, and how often is it updated?
The index refreshes continuously as firms publish, so new research appears without you having to check each firm’s site. Coverage is being expanded across firms, sectors, and markets over time. This is an early, fast-moving build.
How do you handle accuracy and broken links?
Every source link is checked automatically each week. If a publisher moves or retires a page, the directory detects it and routes you to that firm’s research home rather than a dead link. Dates and tags are our best classification and may be approximate; tell us when something looks wrong and we’ll fix it.
What do you do with my data?
We keep it minimal. We use your email and the interests you choose to run your account and shape your feed, nothing more. We don’t sell your data. See our privacy notice for the detail.
How do I get in touch, sponsor, or advertise?
We’d love to hear from you. Reach us through the contact page for questions, partnerships, sponsorship, or feedback. Or email hello@gre-intelligence.com.
