Fairvest acquired five retail centres totalling 34,000+ sqm GLA across KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape for R477.7 million: three Collins Property Group centres (R208.7m), Shoprite Manguzi (R136m) and a 51% stake in Thembalethu Square (R133m).

Lango Real Estate agreed to acquire a four-mall African retail portfolio -- Accra Mall, Kumasi City Mall and West Hills Mall in Ghana, plus Ikeja City Mall in Lagos, Nigeria -- from South African-listed REITs Hyprop Investments and Attacq, in a $200 million attributable-value deal funded via a share issuance to the vendors plus partial debt financing arranged by RMB. The transaction takes Lango's managed portfolio to roughly $875 million across Ghana, Zambia, Nigeria and Angola.
